Inspiring Kids with Hands-on STEM Programs
At the center of Sanford Research in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, lives a high-tech classroom space: the PROMISE Community Laboratory. There, we deliver STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) experiences to K-12 students and work to inspire tomorrow’s innovators and problem solvers.
We invite you and your group to visit us. We have a variety of hands-on experiences to choose from that will engage learners of every age. The visit concludes with a tour of the Sanford Research facility. You’ll see professional researchers in action and show aspiring scientists what a real lab looks like.
The lab is open to public and private school classes, after-school programs and community groups. We can host up to 24 learners. Every student with a spark of curiosity and an eagerness to learn is welcome.

All visit requests are evaluated by our team. We try our hardest to accommodate all visit requests but are limited on travel and time available. We will reach out to you through email once we receive your request to discuss options..
