Susan Hoover, MD, PhD

 Dr. Hoover earned an MD and PhD at the University of Colorado. She completed postdoctoral training and a clinical fellowship at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases. Her research interests are in infectious diseases including epidemiology, clinical manifestations and host factors, and therapies.

Her most recent work has centered oncoccicioidomycosis (Valley Fever), a fungal infection that is a common cause of pneumonia in the American Southwest, California, and northern Mexico, and is found throughout the U.S. as a consequence of travel and migration.
