The Cell Culture Core provides myocyte cells and fibroblasts in culture dishes or chamber slides to any given lab. To order cells contact Andy Cypher through email and you will receive cells the following week. The Cell Culture Core has been providing myocytes to labs for 7 years. Within these 7 years they have been able to perfect the way myocytes are cultured.

The Cell Culture Core is available for any lab’s use. If there is a cell line that you would like to use that can be primary cultured the Cell Culture Core would be happy to provide that service to you. 

The Cell Culture Core has a room specially designed for primary culture to insure sterility and cleanliness.  Feel free to contact Andy Cypher to meet any of your cell culture needs.

The Cell Culture Core is equipped with a cell mechanics measurement system. This system measures sarcomere lengthening and shortening, measures myocyte contractility as well as ion exchange across a membrane with fluorescently labeled ions.
