Enabling Technologies

With pioneering technologies, researchers can explore new and exciting hypotheses, increase productivity and more accurately test their hypotheses. Technology has propelled the study of human diseases by providing new insight into diseases in order to develop novel therapeutics for prevention, early detection and treatment.

The Enabling Technologies group at Sanford Research works to create, enhance and apply new technologies to uncover mechanisms of disease, provide models to test innovative therapeutics or generate improved medical devices. Enabling technologies include tools as small as BioID-a method to identify the history of protein associations in living cells, animal models of human disease, ground-breaking vascular devices and state-of-the-art equipment for sports injury exposure and prevention. Sanford Research is dedicated to continually expanding innovative technologies developed in our laboratories for use throughout the global scientific community.
